Michael Coogan

Mike Coogan is the Senior Director of Information Security for Waste Management Inc., North America’s leading provider of integrated environmental solutions. Mike joined Waste Management in 2012, and has over 25 years of broad experience. In this position, Mike drives all aspects of the information security program at WM. H e has international responsibility for security strategy, architecture, policy and standards, awareness, GRC, compliance and all of the underlying IT systems such as identity management, information protection, and threat management.

Mike has earned a Master’s of Science degree from the University of California at Irvine, and an MBA from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is certified as a CISSP and a CISM.
