“Anonymous” cites public docs in claim alien life will soon be discovered

Share

A person using the name of the loosely-organized hacktivist group Anonymous has posted a rather unusual video on YouTube claiming NASA has the ability to discover life existing on other planets.

In a major break from Anonymous' tradition of revealing information derived from hacking, whistle blowers or for taking responsibility for attacking a website, this video, hosted by a Guy Fawkes mask-wearing image, simply cited several unclassified U.S. government documents along with the recent public statement by Thomas Zurbuchen, associate administrator, NASA Science Mission Directorate before the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Science, Space and Technology to draw the conclusion that alien life might soon be spotted.

The video did not say NASA would soon disclose state alien life has been discovered nor was it posted on Anonymous Official, but on Anonymous Global.

Zurbuchen tweeted out a message to assure everyone that NASA had not plans to disclose contact with, or the discovery of, alien life.
